Nanci Washburn is the President/Founder of Artist Management Agency, a full-service talent representative agency that has been a permanent fixture in San Diego for over 45 years and in Orange County for nearly 25. AMA is also affiliated with an agency in Nairobi Kenya.

She began her career in the entertainment business as a pianist prodigy at the age of 2.

Prior to becoming an agent in 1967, she was a full-time model, commercial actress in Los Angeles and Southern California. She was the original “mother” face for Penasquitos for their entire campaign.

Artist Management Agency has offices in San Diego and Orange County representing on-camera actors, voice-over actors, who are utilized for episodic television, feature film, commercials, print, corporate videos and infomercials.

Some of the projects currently utilizing AMA performers: Hilton Garden Hotels, the Metalist, John Deere Harvester, ABC, NBC, Taco Bell, Save the Children, PetCo, Jeep Renegade, Abbott Labs, Pfizer, ALERE, Homeland Security, Qualcomm, West Coast University and Intuit. A number of her clients perform at the Old Globe, La Jolla, Playhouse, SD Rep, Lamb’s Players, and a number of other theatres in San Diego and Orange County.

Voices are heard for Disney, ABC, NBC, HBO, Animal Planet, National Geographic Channel, California Bank and Trust, City Bank of New York, Sony PlayStation, Sprint, Nissan, Barona Resort & Casino, Pechanga  Resort & Casino, Sycuan Resort & Casino.  Seen on national commercials for Ditech, Sea World, Sunny Delight, numerous infomercials, print for Crest, Wei Cosmetics, Avis, training videos for Taco Bell, S.A.I.C., Homeland Security, Qualcomm, Intuit, Lexus, Toyota.

Ms. Washburn was the founder of the San Diego Film Commission and served on its board for a number of years. She also has served on the BOD for SD Fine Arts Society, SD Repertory Theatre, National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, The Fashion Group International, Little Sisters/Big Brothers, Miss California (Miss America prelim), Medical Biology Institute and the SD Historical Society Costume Council.

In her spare time, she is an amateur photojournalist, having traveled to 6 of 7 continents. She has yet to do the Antarctic. In the last 3.5 years, she has been on 4 Kenya safari’s, been to the sub-arctic circle viewing polar bears, carnivale in Trinidad/Tobago and explored Mississippi/Alabama for the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights movement, Civil War trail, doing the Jazz trail, the foodie trail and came home with a new found liking for grits.
